Oh that's better. Sayonara, road losing streak. High-energy, high-scoring game; one would figure that would play right into Denver's hands. Not this time. The Dallas Mavericks got hot and stayed there, while Denver (to be fair, they sustained some injuries) wilted down the stretch. Dallas took the lead after about three minutes, and never let it go. That's a win, 112-95, and with that Dallas breaks the seven-game roadie losing streak, wins a fourth straight overall game, and takes the season series 3-1. ... Given how close the standings are, that might matter later.
With a little Denver gold, we fashion a Dirkie. Your votes, please, ladies and gentlemen and . . . others.
Player of the Game, Dallas at Denver ... you vote here!
Dirk Nowitzki -- 33 and 11 and on a day's rest, he's unstoppable
Jason Kidd -- 7 points, 10 assists, zero turnovers ... and we can barely remember the last time he coughed one up
Rodrigue Beaubois -- 14 and 6, naughty finger-wave as he demonstrates Guadeloupe swag
Ian Mahimni -- starting center with 11 and 5
Brandan Wright -- backup center with 15 and 6
Vince Carter -- 14 points, that's more like it
Lamar Odom -- 6 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists ... and Khloe must've put something in his hot tea
